F1 pundit Joe Saward claimed that seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton's intervention played a "fairly important role" in Ferrari's decision to keep team principal Fred Vasseur. "Ferrari has long had the very bad habit of throwing out its leadership every three to four years," he said. Saward added that they've now understood that it's best to keep the same people.
