RPG Enterprises Chairman Harsh Goenka listed five reasons behind IPL's ₹16,400-crore valuation drop. He cited Disney Star-Viacom18 merger reducing media rights value, ban on fantasy gaming ads, slow ad growth, franchise losses from rising player costs and global cricket fatigue due to overlapping leagues impacting audience interest. IPL's valuation has dropped to ₹76,100 crore. D&P Advisory said.
