Pargat Singh, 41, from Dabkheri, Kurukshetra, known as 'Gotakhor Pargat', has spent 23 years diving into rivers and canals across North India to save lives and recover bodies—for free. Inspired by witnessing his grandfather drown at age 10, he has retrieved 24,000 bodies, saved 2,600 people, 900 animals, and even rescued 26 crocodiles, often with volunteer help.
