Shahid Rafi responded to singer Asha Bhosle's claim that his father and renowned singer Mohammed Rafi lacked range. "You are a learned person; have some shame...Not at this age," he said. "I'll never tolerate anybody speaking ill of my dad...I knew where he stood," he added. Shahid also accused Asha and her sister Lata Mangeshkar of sabotaging his father's career.
