The Bombay High Court has granted Suniel Shetty urgent interim protection against unauthorised use of his likeness, including AI-generated deepfakes, fake endorsements, and merchandise. Justice Arif S. Doctor said such acts violate Shetty’s privacy and dignity. The court also issued a John Doe order restraining unknown parties and directed Meta and X to remove infringing content within a week.
