The Karnataka High Court has stayed till further orders the Karnataka Cinemas (Regulation) (Amendment) Rules 2025, which capped the movie ticket prices at ₹200. "We've spent huge sums of money on creating a cinema hall...there can't be a direction that all your tickets should be at ₹200...or all airlines should be economy class," the Multiplex Association of India's advocate argued.
