HDFC Bank stated it has not increased the minimum balance requirements for its savings accounts. The clarification comes after reports claimed new account holders of the bank in metro or urban branches would have to maintain average monthly balance (AMB) of ₹25,000. HDFC Bank said AMB for Regular Savings Account remains ₹10,000, while that for Savings Max Account is ₹25,000.
