A post-mortem report of security guard Ajith Kumar, who died in police custody in Tamil Nadu, found that he had 44 external injuries on his body. He also suffered head injuries. The injuries could have been caused by repeated physical assault with objects like sticks, batons or rods. Police picked up Kumar for interrogation in a theft case.
