The capital city saw its highest peak power demand of this summer season on Thursday when the maximum temperature went as high as 43.9 degrees Celsius. According to the State Load Despatch Centre, the peak power demand in the capital was around 8423 MW at 3 PM on Thursday, the highest-ever load in the city in 2025.
