A heavy rainfall on Monday led to severe waterlogging and traffic jams in Kolkata, with North Kolkata recording 200 mm of rainfall and South Kolkata receiving 180 mm of rainfall. Hundreds of 'Durga Puja' pandals and idols have reportedly been washed out due to rains. IMD has issued an alert for light to moderate rainfall until September 27 in Kolkata.
