A pilgrimage to the Parvathamalai hillock turned tragic for two women from Chennai on Tuesday, when heavy rain caused a flash flood in Thenmadimangalam village in the Tiruvannamalai district of Tamil Nadu. The victims, R Sangatamil (36), a resident of Vadapalani, and M Indira (58), a native of Thiruverkadu, were part of an 18-member group from Velappanchavadi village near Thiruverkadu.
