Locals and Narmada Brahmin Samaj filed a complaint after a hen named 'Narmada' featured in a poultry sale advertisement by a veterinary college in MP's Harda. "Maa Narmada is our symbol of faith...Naming a hen after her isn't right," they said. However, the college said that the poultry centre in Jabalpur, from where the hens were purchased, named the bird.
