The Patiala district administration in Punjab issued a high alert in over 24 villages along the Ghaggar and Tangri rivers on Wednesday. Residents of the villages, including Sanjarpur, Untsar, Darba, Mahmoodpur Rurki, Devnagar, Harigarh, Rampur and Adaltivala, have been advised to stay away from the rivers. Notably, Ghaggar has surpassed the danger mark, while Tangri is close to reaching it.
