Department of Local Government has issued strict directives to regulate construction of high-rise buildings around Golden Temple in Amritsar. Acting on instructions of Local Government Minister Dr Inderbir Singh Nijjar, the Department has formally communicated to the MC of Amritsar to take immediate steps to control and monitor the rising construction near the holy shrine.
