Constable Lalit Kanwar has been dismissed from police service after an inquiry proved his complicity in drug peddling. A youth, Harish Sharma, was arrested by the Dharampur police, Himachal Pradesh on May 16 for possession of heroin. After booking the youth under the provisions of the NDPS Act, the police traced its backward linkages and found the involvement of the constable.
