The Himachal Pradesh government has introduced a 60-day special maternity leave for female government employees who experience a stillbirth or the loss of a child soon after birth. This initiative is under the existing maternity leave conditions and applies to deliveries in authorised hospitals. Previously, the state government granted full salary to MBBS doctors pursuing postgraduate studies.
