Himachal Pradesh witnessed its highest rainfall in the month of June after 12 years as the state recorded about 34% surplus rain last month. While the state received 135 mm rain this June, it had recorded 241 mm rain the same month in 2013. The highest rainfall ever recorded in June was 252.7 mm rain in 1971.
