Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray on Sunday said, "In Maharashtra, only Marathi and English should be given priority." He added, "Hindi, French, Spanish, and other subjects can be taken from 5th standard." His remark came after the state government passed an order saying that Hindi will "generally" be third language from Class 1-5 in Marathi and English medium schools.
