Alipore Court on Monday granted bail to Spain-based researcher Hindol Majumdar, who was arrested on charges of planning an attack on West Bengal Education Minister Bratya Basu at Jadavpur University earlier this year. Bail was granted on personal bond of ₹1,000. A student protest occurred at JU in Kolkata in March this year, during a visit by Bratya Basu.
