Responding to Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu's criticism, French President Emmanuel Macron said, "France is Israel's steadfast friend." He said Netanyahu's "words are excessive and unrelated to the friendship", adding that France mobilised its military during Iran's missile attack on Israel. Netanyahu has called Macron's support for halt on arms supply to Israel 'disgraceful and shameful'.
