Palestinian-American historian Rashid Khalidi has withdrawn from teaching at Columbia University, citing its $200-million settlement with the Trump administration over handling of alleged antisemitism on campus. In an open letter, Khalidi accused the university of compromising academic freedom and capitulating to political pressure. He said it has become "impossible" for him to teach with honesty.
