CPI(M) General Secretary MA Baby welcomed the introduction of reservations for OBCs, the physically challenged, ex-servicemen, and dependents of freedom fighters, in addition to SCs and STs, in the direct recruitment of non-judicial staff by the Supreme Court. "A historic step by (Chief) Justice (BR) Gavai," Baby wrote on X, adding that reservations are needed in judicial appointments as well.
