The Ministry of Civil Aviation has amended the Aircraft (Security) Rules, 2023 such that hoax threat calls to flights may now face a penalty of up to ₹1 crore, depending on the culprit. As per the Gazette Notification, two rules have been added which include reserving the right of admission in aircraft and the prohibition to communicate false information.
