The Punjab Government has extended holidays in all schools till September 3. Earlier, the schools were closed from August 27 to August 30. In a post on X, Punjab's Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains stated, "Considering the flood situation in Punjab, holidays had been declared in all government/aided/recognised and private schools in the state till September 3."
