In 1985, Analjit Singh started Max India to produce penicillin drug intermediates from his FDA approved facility in Okhla, Delhi. Post 1991 reforms, he entered life insurance and opened the first Max super-specialty hospital in Delhi in 2006. Today, Max Group is a ₹30,000 crore group with three publicly listed businesses.
