The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) spends nearly ₹500 crore for annual procurement of 6,100 tonnes ghee, 14 tonnes sugar, 9,200 tonnes of Bengal gram, etc. to make laddoo prasadam, reports NDTV. Only agencies registered with Andhra Pradesh Technological Services can participate. AGMARK certification and FSSAI licences are also a must. The ghee tankers are certified by NABL.
