There's scientifically supported connection between poor posture, especially the kind we adopt while using mobile devices, and increased risk of mood disorders, said Dr Priya Raghavan, Psychiatrist. A slouched posture can send signals to brain that reinforce feelings of low energy, sadness or anxiety, she stated. Raghavan recommended keeping phone at eye level and taking frequent postural resets.
