Over 14,000 men fraudulently received financial benefits under Maharashtra's 'Ladki Bahin' scheme, which is explicitly meant for economically disadvantaged women. The men manipulated the online registration system and managed to register themselves as female beneficiaries. This misuse came to light nearly 10 months after the scheme's launch.
