Mumbai Police on Tuesday said an AI-enabled monitoring system was deployed during Ganeshotsav from August 27 to September 5 to manage crowd and security during Lalbaugcha Raja darshan. Police said system helped track entries and exits, alerting them to stagnant crowd in pandal and allowing timely action to prevent congestion. 'We had also deployed AI for crime detection," they added.
