Israeli spy agency Mossad devised the exploding pager plan to target Hezbollah in 2022, The Washington Post reported. The pagers, bearing Taiwan's Apollo branding, were reportedly tailor-made by Mossad to fit Hezbollah's requirements (rugged, long battery life). Thousands of them were sold to Hezbollah by a trusted marketing official, who had outsourced production and was unaware of Israel's plan.
