Senior Motorola executive Shivam Ranjan recalled how the company helped carry first words of US astronaut Neil Armstrong, the first person to step on the Moon, to Earth. On July 20, 1969, Armstrong's backpack antenna and equipment to process TV signals on Earth were supplied by Motorola. Additionally, the company also provided equipment for precision tracking on Saturn V rocket.
