A man held 17 children hostage in a Mumbai studio after inviting them for an audition. At around 1:30 pm, police arrived at the scene and negotiated for nearly two hours. The police then called fire-brigade to break the bathroom window. Three police officers entered the studio and rescued the children after a standoff during which accused fired an airgun.
