Ukraine launched an operation, code-named Pavutyna (or web), to destroy nearly 40 Russian aircraft in air bases. According to a Ukrainian publication, Ukrainska Pravda, the operation was planned for 18 months, under which drones were smuggled into Russia and hidden in crates. The crates were placed on trucks, and at a designated time, the drones flew to hit aircraft.
