Assam has been affected by floods with 11 reported deaths and over 5.35 lakh people impacted in 22 districts. Major rivers Brahmaputra, Barak and Subansiri are flowing above danger levels at several points. The deluge has also disrupted key transportation services. Ferry services between Majuli and Jorhat remain suspended while train services from Silchar have been cancelled due to waterlogging.
