Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has said the 'One Nation, One Election', approved by the Cabinet, is proposed to be implemented in two phases. In the first phase, Lok Sabha elections and state Assembly elections will be conducted simultaneously. In the second phase, local body elections, including panchayat and municipal elections, will be held within 100 days of Lok Sabha elections.
