Retired IAS officer Kahan Singh Pannu has developed the SRB (Seeding of Rice on Beds) technique to tackle Punjab's groundwater crisis. By planting paddy on raised beds and irrigating only furrows, SRB reduces water usage by up to 75% while maintaining yields.
