The Iron Dome of Israel is an air defence system that intercepts missiles fired at Israeli territory. Reportedly, Iron Dome batteries, each one having three to four missile launchers, are installed across Israel. The missile launchers have up to 20 Tamir interceptor missiles, and each of these interceptors costs somewhere between $40,000 and $50,000, a US-based think-tank said.
