Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said that Enforcement Directorate has, in total, restored properties worth ₹22,280 crore to pay back debts of major wanted economic offenders. Around ₹1,052 crore has been restored to banks from Nirav Modi and ₹2,565.90 crores from Mehul Choksi and others. Around ₹14,131 crore from Vijay Mallya has been restored to the Public Sector Banks.
