According to the Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air, Hungary was the largest importer of Russian fossil fuel and purchased fuel worth €356 million in June 2025. It was followed by Belgium, which imported fossil fuel worth €300 million. France, Slovakia and the Netherlands imported fossil fuels worth €232 million, €178 million and €99 million respectively from Russia.
