The insurance claim liability linked to the Air India plane crash may shift if the final investigation finds that a mechanical failure, not pilot error, caused the crash, NDTV Profit reported. In case of a machine malfunction or a lock mechanism failure, the Original Equipment Manufacturer may also have to bear the liability, expert Chetan Kashyap said.
