The new approved GST rates are likely to make flight tickets cheaper and also reduce hotel stay costs. GST on economy class tickets has been lowered from 12% to 5% and business class tickets will attract 12% GST, compared to the earlier 18%. GST on luxury hotel rooms priced up to ₹7,500/night has been reduced to 5% from 12%.
