Hindustan Petroleum (HPCL) is exploring alternatives to source crude oil to protect itself if it were to stop buying Russian oil due to higher prices and US sanctions, its Chairman Vikas Kaushal said. This comes as Donald Trump has imposed 50% tariffs on India for purchasing Russian goods. HPCL's Russian oil intake in April-June quarter of FY26 fell to 13.2%.
