Human Rights Forum has condemned the government’s renewed efforts to privatise the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. The recent call for Expressions of Interest from private agencies to manage 34 critical departments, including blast furnace systems, slag granulation plants, mines, BF cooling, furnace equipment, and charging units, is seen as a deliberate move to dismantle public sector character of VSP.
