Astronomers using Hubble Space Telescope have discovered zombie star or white dwarf WD 0525+526, formed when two stars violently merged. White dwarfs are often roughly Earth's size but half as massive as Sun and typically form when stars exhaust their nuclear fuel and collapse. Located 130 light-years away, it weighs 20% more than Sun, placing it in the "ultra-massive" category.
