The human brain emits ultraweak photon emissions (UPEs), faint natural light generated during normal cellular metabolism, iScience research stated. These signals, a million times dimmer than visible light, can pass through the skull and may change in response to mental activity. Described as 'photoencephalography', this technique could help track brain function and health non-invasively.
