At least 25 people were killed in southern Haiti after a river overflowed due to torrential rains from Hurricane Melissa. In Jamaica, four bodies were recovered as the Category 5 storm caused severe flooding and power outages, leaving 77% of the island without electricity. The hurricane has now weakened to Category 2 as it moves toward the Bahamas.
