Congress MP from Telangana, Abhishek Manu Singhvi, said that it's "deeply deplorable" that BRS abstained from voting in the election for the new Vice President of India. "Abstaining helps the other side and hurts the cause of Telangana's own," he added. "We must rise above narrow party lines [and stand for Telangana's rightful voice] by supporting the...home-grown candidate," Singhvi said.
