Lieutenant Colonel Prasad Shrikant Purohit, one of the seven who were acquitted in the 2008 Malegaon blast case on Thursday, said, "I'm a soldier who loves the country immensely." He hailed the acquittal, saying, "The country must always remain supreme and its foundations strong." Purohit had spent nine years in jail before being granted bail in 2017.
