Nepal army chief Ashok Sigdel, while addressing the nation on Tuesday amid protests against social media ban and corruption, requested the suspension of protest programmes. He also urged protesters to take the path of dialogue. "We express deep sorrow over the irreparable loss of lives and property...We pray for eternal peace for the departed souls," he stated.
