Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi said she welcomes Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman's Budget announcement that taxpayers earning up to ₹12 lakh/year will have to pay "zero" income tax under the new tax regime. "It's a victory of the middle class," she added. "In the last 10 years, the middle class had this demand, today they've been heard," Chaturvedi stated.
